賴清德是台南縣市合併後，第一屆大台南市長，很多人以為賴清德是府城子弟，其實他來自新北萬里山區，出身自礦工家庭，因為礦坑災變，2歲喪父，由母親賴童好獨力扶養6個兄弟姊妹長大成人。
